Vitamin C-Boost Beverage

Vitamin C is an important component in promoting wound healing and building immunity. Here is a beverage rich in vitamin C that is family-friendly, that you can also share this with friends this summer.

Time: 15 mins
Serving: 2-3 people

Ingredients:

  • 1 passion fruit
  • 2 medium sized lemons
  • 3 tbsp of honey
  • 2 tsp ponzu sauce
  • 1 cup of  still or sparkling water

Method:

1. Cut the passionfruit and scoop out the seeds and juice in a bowl.
2. Squeeze the juice from the lemons into the bowl.
3. Place 3 tbsp of honey into the bowl, and mix well.
4. Pour 2-3 tbsp of the mixture into a glass, add 1 cup of water, and mix well.
5. Ready to serve.
6. The remaining passion fruit, lemon and honey mix can be placed in a jar and stored in the fridge for up to a week.

Tips:

1. You can strain the passion fruit and lemon before adding the honey to remove the passion fruit and lemon seeds.
2. You can adjust the sweetness of the mixture but adjusting the amount of honey added.
3. Vitamin C is sensitive to heat, so iced or room temperature water is recommended to preserve the vitamin C content.
